The Hair Solution and Hair Pill are prescription hair treatments for male pattern hair loss, female pattern hair loss, telogen effluvium and pre-menopausal or postmenopausal hair loss. They are formulated with ingredients such as Minoxidil, Dutasteride, Tretinoin, and Spironolactone to effectively prevent hair loss and encourage hair regrowth. The Hair Pill and The Hair Solution help to stimulate hair growth for patients who have experienced the following:
Male pattern baldness
There are various factors that can contribute to male pattern baldness and baldness in men, including age, genetics, and hormones. It is widely believed that the hormone Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) plays a major role in male pattern baldness and baldness in men. DHT derives from testosterone and can cause shrinking of hair follicles and produce thinner and shorter hair strands, which can cause a significant increase in hair loss and bald spots over time.
Alopecia
- Telogen effluvium: A form of hair thinning or excessive shedding that is temporary and is usually caused from the occurrence of stressful or traumatic events.
- Androgenetic alopecia (male or female pattern baldness): The most common type of hair loss, affecting more than 50 million men and 30 million women in the United States. Symptoms of this type of hair loss can include thinning hair, a widening part, or a receding hairline as one gets older. In men, the hair loss follows a well-defined pattern, beginning above both temples. Progressively the hairline recedes to form a characteristic "M" shape. Hair also thins at the crown of the head, often progressing to partial or complete baldness.
Female pattern hair loss
Female pattern hair loss can be caused by a variety of factors, such as genetics, menopause, and aging. The most common reason that women experience hair thinning is genetics, which is often referred to as "female-pattern baldness." Menopause is also a contributor to hair loss due to the loss of estrogen and progesterone as the growth phase of hair follicles slow down and get smaller as we age. This often leads to women having thinner and finer hair as they get older.
