Musely medications come in an airless pump bottle, meaning they use an airless pump system instead of tubes. Airless pump bottles are great for skin care because they allow you to dispense every last drop of the product, and keeps the medication fresh. Due to its vacuum seal technology, your treatment is kept more hygienic and potent!
Is your pump not working as expected? If medication will not dispense from your treatment bottle, it may need to be primed! Please do not remove the pump top from the bottle. Rather, try these priming instructions from the pharmacy:
- Shake the bottle very well and leave it upside down for 5-10 minutes before attempting to dispense. This should help release the air and allow the product to flow freely. Don't be alarmed if your product doesn't dispense after a couple of pumps! It may take upwards of 10 pumps.
- You may need to manually release any air from the bottle. You can try this with just your bottle and a paperclip. At the bottom of the bottle, there is a small hole. Gently press the end of a paperclip into the hole to push the inside plate upwards. It may also help to pump the dispenser at the same time. This should release air that may be blocking the product from coming out.
- Tapping the bottom of the bottle has proven to be helpful in releasing air.
