Serious side effects may include:
- Swelling, vision changes, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, dizziness, enlarged breasts, breast pain, nipple discharge, mood change, chest pain or heart palpitations.
How to Manage Side Effects:
- Use a mild shampoo, such as Nizoral or Head & Shoulders
- Avoid the use of hair gels, heat on hair, and styling (examples: braids, extensions, high updos).
- Reduce use of medication
- Reach out to your designated doctor if side effects do not decrease.
*With any DHT blocker such as dutasteride, there is a very low percentage of patients who may develop temporary ED (Studies show less than 5%).
